CU is a public institution and a hub for Higher Education (HE), research and cooperation in Pakse, a city located over 600 km south from the capital and 2nd largest by population in Laos. CU consists of 6 faculties: education, agriculture and forestry, economics and management, law and public administration, engineering and natural science. CU offers 29 programs of Bachelor Degree, 13 programs of postgraduates Degree and 7 other programs.The University has 5694 Students, 416 staff members and 7 centers for academic service. CU is a member of the Joint Declaration of ASEAN-China on Establishing Network for Cooperation and Exchange among Engineering and Technology Universities consists of 20 universities members from ASEAN and China. CU has also established a center of Excellent Laboratory in Agriculture.
